This is a continuous recording of the electrical activity of your heart. A small device will be fitted by our Practice Nurse and will require stick on electrodes to be placed on your chest. You should then go about your usual daily activities and continue to wear the monitor during sleeping hours. The monitor will need to be returned the following day and the information obtained will then be downloaded for your cardiologist to interpret. A diary will be provided for you to note down important activities or any symptoms you may have while the monitor is attached.

12-to-24-hour ambulatory monitor available along with 4-day event monitor if required.

4 Day Event monitor – Our Practice Nurse will instruct you on how to use the monitor and remove it so you can have a shower or bath.

It is most important that you do not get the monitor wet and that it is returned at the  specified time.
